    standard for number of turns of teflon tape

    Are there standards for a minimum or/and maximum turns of teflon tape on a give NPT thread. In my company we use 1.5 to 2 turns, but not sure. TIA, Alfonso Del Toro

    metengr: Thanks a lot for your inputs. Unfortunately, we cannot use teflon tape since this nut handles are designed for multiple engagements. I will contact our supplier about electroless plating and see if that is a viable route. Again, thanks a lot for your help.

    The nut is use in a compressed oxygen gas application and is a CGA-540. Its mating part is a CGA-540 Nickel plated brass male thread.

    soldering a wire to a nickel plated terminal

    Hello, We are having solder flow problems on a nickel plated battery terminal. Using flux is not helping until the terminal is heated a lot.
