If I'm reading correctly in 2006 it may have been a microsoft problem. I am running SP3 on XP. I put an e-mail into my VAR. if i get anything more than "it will be fixed in the next service pack", i'll let everyone know.
thanks to all for your support. Man this is a great knowledge base.
I launched Solidworks this morning and recieved the following error message "unable to open master database". I closed and restarted and it seems to be okay. Any ideas on what this was?
I'm using :
SW2009 SP1.0
NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500
pentium D CPU 3.00GHz
Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
I prefer to put them in order of assembly also. How ever certain engineers/design approvers, when they can't find anything wrong with the design they tend to pick on ticky tacky things.....
Works great thank you.
Okay, I just ran my first Macro!!!! Low it behold it works, WELL kinda works. It orders them by the first balloon number. It puts ballon in order like this, 5 6 6 4 2 13 15. see attached.
Handleman, can this be...
That is correct Handleman....I don't want to re-order the bill, just the balloons. Now after using the software for 9 years, i have to use my first macro....I'm sure i can figure it out, with the help of this forum of course...
Thanks again for all your help.
Is there a way, on a stacked balloon, to put the item numbers in order? SW orders them default by the order you select the components. I would like to re-order so they are ascending numerically without having to pick them in order.
I just migrated to 2008....woo hoo. The drawing background looks like a wrinkled piece of paper. I can not seem to find the setting that controls this. Does anyone know where it is?
I created a drawing in SW2007. It is a plumbing interconnect scedule. Basically is is a copied and pasted from excel spreadsheet. I recently upgraded to a 64 BIT operating system (smokin machine). When I open the drawing the spread sheet goes bye bye. I have tried to re-insert object excel...
We have two designers here that use the same library of parts. If I open an assembly that use a piece of extruded aluminum that he has used in one of his assemblies I get an error that says “access to unnamed file denied”. If he then opens that part file of the extruded aluminum and saves it...
shaft is a cheap component, compared to the 100k of damage because the shear key didn't shear quickly e-nuff. long term solution could be a clutch, but while this is out for remediation i'm searching for a key that will shear faster than the brass.
On the drawing view right mouse click and select properties. Be sure that keep linked to Bill of Materials is checked and select the BOM from the drop down list.
