    Main Circuit Breaker Selection

I have a customer asking for assistance with selecting the correct main circuit breaker for a 10HP 460V triplex vacuum system. Depending on the demand, only one unit could be in operation or all three could be operating at the same time. Motor FLA is 14 each (w/0 1.15 SF). Cutler Hammer Motor...

    Boiler Feed Pump

Has anyone heard of an old boiler feed pump manufacturer and/or distributor by the name of Dunn and Bush? Have a customer who needs to replace some their pumps and the pumps are so old, there's no data available. The pumps have not been in operation in 15 - 2o years now. Thanks!

    316SS Piping Vs Other Materials?

I have a vacuum pump system in a plastic extrusion application in which my customer would like the piping(1/2", 1" and 2") to be 316SS. However, all other components in the circuit are carbon steel and brass. I didn't think that this could be done? Can someone direct me to a good reference...

    Re: Correct Flow Conversion

zdas04, Thank you much for your quick response and yes this post is for real. My problem is the "3 million actual cubic feet per hour? Normally this volume would be stated as MCFD and (it is understood to be "standard" conditions). Based on your post, I calculate the...

    Re: Correct Flow Conversion

I deal mostly with liquid ring vacuum pumps and commpressors. I have an gas application in which the following conditions were supplied: suction Pressure: 50 Torr discharge pressure: 900 Torr mw:50 (50% water) inlet temp: 33 deg. C volume: 3 MMACFH (I'm assuming this is actual cubic feet per...

    Diesel Engines and V-belts?

I'm looking for comments (good or bad) relating to powering a liquid ring vacuum pump with a diesle engine using v-belts. Is the choice of v-belts a wise decision or is here a more practical way?
