    Many thanks for all explanations, There is conflict between contract obligations, budget limitation and technical requirements. So i will request a deviation to the specification, to omit CT and the field ammeter or extra cost for high accurate local metering via VFD output.

    Ni-Cd Batteries in Nuclear Power Station

    Ni-Cd batteries Hydrogen gas emission is considerably less than Lead-Acid batteries. Also Ni-Cd batteries are better choice because of their long life time, reliability and low maintenance cost. I'm agree with ScottyUK about Ni-Cds enormous cost and smaller size with respect to Lead-Acids.

    Cable selection

    curlis19 calculation is corect if 230V is the line-to-line voltage. But if 230V is the phase voltage, line-to-line voltage will be 400V and the current (I) will be 10.1A i.e. 7000/(sqrt(3)/400).
