This book can be viewed here:

Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain - 7th edition (archive.org)

Current version appears to be the ninth edition.

There are a fair number of closed form solutions for beam shear, moment, and deflection equations.

Similar for various simple frames.

Alright, looks like they took it down due to the lawsuit....... link no longer works.

Tamu.edu (Texas A&M University) to the rescue - feels legit.
