Books/Resources for FEA/CFD results validation using analytical formulas(Hand Calculation) by NRP99

Finite element analysis resources-
To check one’s finite element analysis results, one need to validate the results using analytical solutions available or abstract the problem in more simplified form to available analytical solution. For example, consider rectangular plate bracket (inverted L) with UDL and bolted at vertical portion. The abstract problem form will be UDL loaded plate with elastic foundation at one end or to more simplified form as plate with one end fixed. The simplified problem solutions are readily available and hence one can validate the analysis results easily. Below is the list of books, which can help you find the analytical formulas for various cases.

CFD Resources-

Since CFD analysis requires experimental data to validate the results, there are no empirical formulas available directly other than simple cases mentioned in books. Search for published papers on experimental data to validate the results.
