Plotting not working when using NX3 & above on Windows Vista & Windows7 by PhoeNX
Posted: 10 May 11

If you are using NX3 and above on either Windows Vista or Windows 7 and find you are plotting but the jobs are not leaving the queue then try the following to fix.

There is a known issue on 64bit Windows Vista & Windows 7?

On 64bit systems (Vista & Win 7), the two variables UGII_SDI_BPS_JOBS_DIR & UGII_SDI_OVERRIDE_HOME need to be set.
When they are unspecified they are created in the users profile, but Win 7 & Vista works their permissions differently from WinXP.

Creating those two variables & then pointing them to look at a folder, (c:\temp is the example I would follow) fixes the problem.

Simplest way to create the variables is:

Windows Control Panel -> System -> Advanced (TAB) -> Environment Variables (button)

Add a system variable and then enter the variable name & variable value
