Viewports in 2000i
Viewports in 2000i
(OP)
Hi all, just wondering if anyone could give me some assistance with floating viewports. I have a map which is in a viewport in paperspace. What I want to do is a blowup of a certain area by using a small floating viewport, and have it essentially inside the area occupied by the larger viewport. The problem is, that once i create this second viewport for the blowup detail, the contents of the main viewport are still visible through the second floating viewport, as if it's transparent. Basically, I just want to have a viewport that blocks out whatever is behind it. I have tried draworder and wipeout to no avail, any tips or tricks you guys might have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

2nd: You create the two rectangles (viewports)-> "_region"-> _substract-> convert the region to a viewport. So You will have the larger vp.
attention: You can't edit the size of the viewport anymore

To blow up a specific viewport, you have to double click inside the viewport to set focus. You simply use the ZOOM command with the XP extension or select the scale factor on the viewport toolbar after selection on the viewport itself. You can move the view inside the viewport by pressing down on the scroll wheel to the drawing position that you looking for. If you get lost, use AV Command at the prompt to see where are you at.
