Intellimouse optical + SP4 = problems

Intellimouse optical + SP4 = problems

(OP)
Finally got around to installing SW SP4 and I now have issues with my Microsoft Intellimouse optical (5 buttons).

Center wheel no longer does zoom or rotate function.  With the intellipoint 4.1 software the zoom was intermittent and could still program # 4 & 5 buttons.  Decided to update to intellipoint 5 software (hopeing this would help) and the wheel does not work at all in SW and I've lost the programmable side of # 4 & 5 buttons in all applications.

We have 2 users with this mouse and we are the only 2 affected with this issue.  Anybody seen this problem before and maybe has a solution for us.  Any help here would be great.

Thanks.

RE: Intellimouse optical + SP4 = problems

You have to be sure Solidworks version is added to your Mouse software driver menus.

1) Go to the properties of your mouse
2) Click on the Wheel tab
3) Then click on the "Advanced" button under the Wheel trouble shooter.
4) Make sure SW is added to the box provided see below

Thank you for the help.

I actually had to remove the new Intellipoint 5.0 software and go back to 4.1 to get the wheel option in the mouse properties.

Note: to everyone using Microsoft Intellimouse optical,    do not use Intellipoint 5.0 software.
