Crushed Stone Ring Wall Foundation for Tanks

Crushed Stone Ring Wall Foundation for Tanks

Crushed Stone Ring Wall Foundation for Tanks

(OP)
Is there any body to help me to design the earth mound tank foundation?
I would like to know the relevant criteria, design procedure, etc.
Hopely waiting further response....

RE: Crushed Stone Ring Wall Foundation for Tanks

For water use AWWA D-100
For petroleum use API 350
For others try "Useful Info on the Design of Steel Bins & Silos" pub by Steel Plate Fabricators Assn

Basically for a soils/granular supported tank, the direct bearing of the liquid on the soil must be less than the allowable soil pressure.

Thank you for your answer.

I have additional question.
Basically soil bearing shall be determined also in the light of settlement.

If you have any experience on this matter, please post it.

RE: Crushed Stone Ring Wall Foundation for Tanks

I don't understand your question.  Are you asking what the bearing pressure should be?  Or how to calculate it?  If you're looking for a relationship between the bearing pressure and the settlement, you need to contact a Geotechnical Engineering company.
Please clarify.
