DGN Tag Cells - Read/Write from Software

DGN Tag Cells - Read/Write from Software

(OP)
I need code, to interact with Tag Cells in a DGN file.  I would like to be able to read or write from/to tag cells without Microstation active, to do electronic signoff and other things.  Our Engineering approvers do not all have CAD stations, but we need to put their IDs on the drawing when they view it and approve.

Thanks for any info / ideas.

RE: DGN Tag Cells - Read/Write from Software

Another late response from me ...
But better late than never... anyway.

We had "CADGURUS.COM" code for us an excel macro that reads our "Room Number" cells and write the value into an excel sheet that we formatted. The excel macro opens MicroStation and reads the cells and writes it automatically into excel.

That's one approach but obviously not the one you want.  I would contact these guys and see what they can do for you. But it ain't free.
