Save assembly is very slow

Save assembly is very slow

Save assembly is very slow

(OP)
I have SE15 on a workstation HP 4100 P.4 3.0 windows XP Pro 1,5Gb Ram, 2 HD SCSI with controller raid, graphic card Quadro 4 FX3000 128Mb, network Gigabit. I open assembly on the server and i work good but when i go to save i wait 5 to 20 minutes! I tried unistalling my norton antivirus end removing the raid controller (someone say me SE don't like raid) but only save 1 or 2 minutes. I check the pc and the network performance but it's all ok. When I'm saving SE assembly any other program runs good.

RE: Save assembly is very slow

We have the same problem here. I've been told to remove the "On-Access" scan of Solid Edge files from McAfee anti-virus Enterprise and that would speed up also the updates on our drawings as much as 60% faster. Unfortunately our company policy doesn't allow that. Our assemblies have a lot of "Alternates" configurations and that too seems to be very time consuming when we save.
