Looking for an old PLC / Ladder Logic

Looking for an old PLC / Ladder Logic

Looking for an old PLC / Ladder Logic

(OP)
Hello,

For some readers this may be a repeat, as I have posted this message on other forums as well.

I have a machine from the 80's that has a SYSMAC S6 PLC.

It appears that there is a problem with the PLC and needs to be replaced. The manufacturer does not make or support this PLC. Hence, I need to replace it with a modern AB or KOYO or OMRON.

How can I get the ladder logic from the SYSMAC S6? It has a EPROM in it, I think. Possibly, it could also be password protected, but not sure.

Does anyone have knlowedge about this PLC and how I can obtain its ladder logic?

Thanks all.

RE: Looking for an old PLC / Ladder Logic

What a handy link torontogill provided. Thes things were a very good, relaible PLC. Unfortunately, the only way to extract the program is with an S6 hand held programmer.
