Balloons linked with view

I have an assembly and a drawing file with ISO view of the assembly in a sheet, now I also have 2 isometric views of indvidual parts from the same assembly.  I have auto ballooned the assembly iso view and also auto ballooned the part views.  Is there a way that I can have the balloon on the part view give the same number as it does in the assembly view for that part??

RE: Balloons linked with view

1. Select the balloon, in the property manager, change it to custom and type in the item number. It's not linked so if you decide to change it later, you'll have to manually update the text.

2. Another way is to create an assembly view, right click the view and select properties. Then hide all the components except for the one you want to show. A lot of work however if the assembly contains alot of files. Also alot of work if you needs several views.

Well Thanks a lot for your input, but manually was always an option, I am sorry I didnt mention it but I am looking for automated linkage between the 2.  Your second option is also a solution (of sorts) but better still would be having assembly configurations with the parts hidden, but think of it in a situation where the number of parts is huge.

Thanks a lot Scott & Jason, I appreciate the input.

RE: Balloons linked with view

A workaround ... create detail views of the areas in the assy where the two part are. Then hide the parts in the detail view which you do not want to show. Any balloons inserted in the detail view will then be copasthetic with the main assy.
