BiW Welding SpotPoint

BiW Welding SpotPoint

(OP)
We want to link two surfaces by a spotweld.  But our reference point that we select in the BiW Welding SpotPoint definition box is located between the two surfaces.  Catia then tells us that we can compute the normal vector on the closest surface.  Unfortunately, when we export a .txt file, Catia says that some BiW fasteners projections could not be computed.  For our client, we really need those projections.  Is there a way to use our reference points that do not lie on a surface?

Thanks
