Fire Extinguisher Spacing

Fire Extinguisher Spacing

Fire Extinguisher Spacing

(OP)
I know that, in Michigan, Fire Extinguishers within comercial areas (offices and such) are spaced for 75' of foot travel (150' between them).

What are the requirements for buildings with residential occupancies such as Hotels and Apartments?  Are the Extings, spaced for 75' of foot travel within the corridors (read: public spaces) only or do they need to be accessible within 75' from within the residential occupancies as well?
