Pro-intralink, shutting down (?)

Pro-intralink, shutting down (?)

Pro-intralink, shutting down (?)

(OP)
Hi all,

using Intralink 3.3 with Proe 2001.
One of my users pc crashed badly today.  Now after reboot, when he logs into Intralink, if he goes near the workspace button, pro-Intralink shuts down immediately.

Commonspace etc opens ok, (But if I try and access the workspace this way it still shuts down) Seems to be only the workspace causing the problem.  This would suggest a corrupt workspace I guess.

I tried removing the workspace (via explorer) he was working on before the crash, but alas no change.

Anybody came across this before ?

cheers
Cadbhoy

RE: Pro-intralink, shutting down (?)

Yep, I've seen this before.  Only answer we could get from PTC was "Corrupt Workspace."

We had to delete (or rename) the entire intralink user directory and let Intralink build a new one when we logged on.

This means you loose everything in your workspace.
BUT
You can import models from your old (corrupt) workspace into the new one and start from there.

Thanks for the reply Arlin.

Had to delete the workspace directory as you say.

Salvaged the majority of it though!

Cheers.
