is there a setting to keep these plot logs from being added to my already clustered file system.
i guess before i go deleting them, what purpose do they serve?

Are you talking about log files? You can turn on or off the log file status using LOGFILEON and LOGFILEOFF commands. This log file can serve a variety of purposes. The source of drawing errors can be determined by reviewing the command that produced the incorrect results. Additionally, log files can be reviewed by a CAD manager to determine the need for training and customization of the system. Hope this helps - John

is my date callout that i am using in my RText making these?
i typed LOGFILEOFF and i still get them.
RE: PLOT LOGS
To prevent the plot.log file from being written or appended:
1.) On the File menu, click Plot.
2.) In the Plot dialog box, click the Plot Device tab.
3.) In the Plot Stamp window, click Settings.
4.) In the Plot Stamp dialog box, click Advanced.
5.) In the Log File Location window, clear the Create a Log File check box.
RE: PLOT LOGS
that seemed to do the trick, no plot logs yet this morning.
i saw that box while i was searching around trying to turn them off but since i did not have a plot log active, the entire ADVANCED window was greyed-out, i assumed that it was not the cause of the plot logs.
thanks again
RE: PLOT LOGS
i disabled the creation of plot logs, but ACAD seemed to forget what printer i printed to last. what i ended up doing was enabling plot logs again, but i made a path for them to be saved to. where as before there was no path set and the plot logs would be saved into the same folder as the file i printed. everything seems to be working well now.
