Equipment Cleaning

(OP)
Hello members,

We have recently moved into the toll and contract manufacturing market, however I would be most interested to hear how members clean their process lines to change product.  Whilst the process line can be flushed with Acetone we have been asked how we can validate the cleaning of filtration equipment, candle filtes and hastalloy filter bed plates, also PTFE lined flexi-hoses does anybody have experience of this all cleaning before has been done in situ however it has been itimated to me that the cleaning and validation of the filtration equipment especially should be done to certain procedures and cleaned using ultra sonics can this be carried out on-site?  If I need to send the filter plates off site can anybody advise me of a prefered supplier, I am obviously very warey of potential damage to the plate either during transport or possibly by an inexperienced cleaner.

Thanks
Noel.
