Is there any way to filter columns on Excel like filtering rows?
Is there any way to filter columns on Excel like filtering rows?
(OP)
Hello,
I was wondering if anybody knows if I could filter columns in the same way that I filter rows except in a different direction.
Thanks for any replies

you could improvise by swapping columns and rows and then conduct the filtering.
good luck!

based on pmover and QE suggestions i made an exercise and built a very "rudimentary" sheet to autofilter cols instead of rows.
Should be someone interested, pls leave me an e-mail address & i'll send it.
Cheers.

I worked contract at GE Lynn a few years back in CF34 & T700 production performance and worked with several Belcan guys. If you get something to work on this filtering I wouldn't mind learning how it's done.

I wrote an event macro to filter out remaining columns in the data area based on the value typed in the "filter" column. There is no "un"-filtering tho. So you can filter based on one row, and then filter the remaining items based on another row, and so on, and so on. But then you'll have to enter "All" in the filter value to get your columns un-hidden, it won't just unhide columns previously filterd by that row. If you're interested, I can email it to you.
