Reflected Wave Trap

Reflected Wave Trap

Reflected Wave Trap

(OP)
Gentlemen,
I recently read the information about new device patented by Cutler-Hammer - "Reflected Wave Trap" which is claimed to be a replacement for all known means of fighting the reflected wave phenomenon in VFD systems: load reactors, dv/dt filters, impedance termination networks. Does anybody have any experience with usage or testing of these "traps"?
Its application sounds quite attractive and cost effective, however some comments would be very helpful.

RE: Reflected Wave Trap

We haven't use it.

Sorry.

RE: Reflected Wave Trap

thinker, you are taking the right approach--testing or actual recommendations.

I've been in this business a long time and the snake oil (false claims) literally runs in the streets!
