i'm working in the instrumentation field, and sometimes i encounter some problems with the calibration of these sensors and the other instruments.i need to know more about these things,so can anyone tell me about any book or site that may benefit me,thanks.

RE: sensors and thier calibration

vendors usually have a good section on theory in their instruction manuals. they are frequently on their web-sites

RE: sensors and thier calibration

http://www.omega.com/literature/transactions/ has a lot of information, and you might want to consider The Instrument Engineers' Handbook, Vol. 1, 4th ed.: Process Measurement and Analysis, availble from CRC Press; ISBN: 0849310830.

RE: sensors and thier calibration

search the google on "reverse calibration". The statistical background I found in Draper&Smith "Applied Regression Analysis", Wiley but surely there are many more.
