cook vs. plumbers

In most states plumbers must be trained AND licenced but
anyone can be a cook even if he haven't learned to use
a handkerchief etc...

Do we care less about the food than about the sewage ?

RE: cook vs. plumbers

True story.  My children and I are headed east on I-80 and we stop for gas at a rest stop in Indiana.  We decide to get some food and are standing in line at H*****’s deciding what to get and I happen to glance at one of their employees doing some clean-up work.  He takes the broom he was sweeping the floor with and sweeps off the top of a table with the same broom!

I asked to speak to the manager when I got to the counter and recounted the incident to her.  Her response was, “Well, he’s new and really hasn’t had a lot of training yet…”!!  I opined that perhaps he shouldn’t really be allowed near food preparation if this is any indicator.

Anyway, we left without ordering and have not eaten any food from that chain.  Scary and disgusting!

Well, FG, he probably used the same in the bathroom, too...

In Broomfield CO, I went to V, ( a chain since 1958 with 200 restaurants). The cook came out of the kitchen and
blew his nose on the back of his hand ...

I reported it to the Health Department -- they haven't even
answer.
