Passive Pressure Curves - Barker
Passive Pressure Curves - Barker
(OP)
Our local bridge owner has included in its design manual a set of curves describing the passive/active earth pressure coefficients for various sands based on movement at the top of wall.
I would like to find the equations that these curves are based on.
The chart is credited Barker (1997). Not exactly clear.
Can anyone help me find this reference, or other help?

Recommended to take a look at – might not be the charts, but it looks like an interesting document

RE: Passive Pressure Curves - Barker
I believe after doing some additional searching that the author is R. Barker of Va Tech University.

I had a chance to skim the paper by Poulos - I suggest all geotechs get a copy of it - it is well done - but almost all papers by Poulos are.
