Hardcopy to AutoCAD

Hardcopy to AutoCAD

(OP)
Does anyone know of a company that will convert a hardcopy plan (24 x 36) to a workable AutoCAD drawing?
I have corel and can get a scan of the sheet, and I know I can convert it to a dxf, but the drawing is splines on a single layer. I was hoping someone might know a company that will convert a sheet to lines and ars on standard architectural layers.
HELP!

RE: Hardcopy to AutoCAD

I have not used but got quotes from pennywiseimaging.com. They will do it for you. Cost for scanning this size is around $1 then to get a dwg file around $130-$160 (US dollars).

You have done most of the hard work.  It is very easy to change layers in Autocad.  First, create your standard arch layers to your office standards using the layer manager. Second, select features by left clicking and selecting the layer you want using layer control box.  You will notice the features are highlighted to the layer and just hit the ESC key to make the changes current.  Hope this helps - John
