Flare Stack Aircraft Warning Lights Requirements

Flare Stack Aircraft Warning Lights Requirements

Flare Stack Aircraft Warning Lights Requirements

(OP)
Hi,

I'm evaluating the flare stack bid proposal. The flare is 37 m high. One Vendor had included in the quote the aircraft warning lights, but the other one did not - he had mentioned that per ICAO recommendations, it is not needed for the flare of this height.

The question: is ICAO the only organization which has the regulations regarding beacons(I'm in Canada)? Is there any standard which might help?

Thank you.

RE: Flare Stack Aircraft Warning Lights Requirements

perhaps the good folks at:

http://www.johnzink.com/parts/flares/html/ps_fl_up_retr_acwl.htm

can assist you.

good luck!

Thanks, I've already checked John Zink website and didn't find any reference to the required matter.

Transport Canada is in charge of regulations for hazard lights in Canada and it is included in the CARs. Some of the information is at the site below but it would be best to contact them for info.
