Multiline Text Editor not working anymore

Multiline Text Editor not working anymore

(OP)
I looked at the autodesk web site and found nothing, so I am hoping someone here has encountered this glitch and found a solution.  I can no longer edit existing mtext or create new mtext...I get the following message..

"There is not enought memory to complete this operation.  Try closing other operations to free more memory."

Funny thing is, nothing else is running and I have 256MB ram.

Has anybody had this happen?  Did you fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Jeremiah

P.S. text editor is set to internal within autocad.  Should it be set to something else? OR ???
