Simplified Rep. - How can you see what the part is before choosing it?

Simplified Rep. - How can you see what the part is before choosing it?

(OP)
I am learning to use simplified representations. My assembly parts all have part numbers instead of names, and there are far too many numbers to remember the numbers for each part or subassembly. I would like a part to highlight, to see if I want to keep it or exclude it, before choosing it to be excluded. Is there a way to do this from the model tree or on the assembly?

Yup-  After you choose simplified rep --> Create, when it pulls up the model tree it turns off "highlight model".  Just go into the "tree" menu and click on "highlight model" that will toggle it to back on. Now all your picks in the menu tree will highlight the models. (2001)
