Hello,
I am doing a riveting analysis. The analysis basically consists of two aluminum plates joined together by an aluminum rivet. I have done both 2D and 3D analysis sucessfully. Now I want to incorporate a sealant in between the two plates.
For this I started out with 2D axisymmetric model. The analysis does not converge when I incorporate the sealant in it. I am modeling the sealant as hyperelastic material with material constants for an elastomer using Mooney Rivlin initially.
The mesh is fine enough, the sealant is defined as the "slave" , I also used another material with stress-strain data and tried to analyze it with Mooney Rivlin, as well as Arruda Boyce, also changed friction to see if that was the cause. But only when I incorporate this the analysis always aborts with error "time increment less than minimum specified".
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have posted the figures
