Elongation of material

Elongation of material

Elongation of material

(OP)
I was given an unexpected response today by a vendor regarding ordinary 2 or 3 ply belt conveyor material (similiar to goodyear 220 or 330).  They stated that the material actually shrinks at temperature.  I am aware of some materials, especially on refractory applications that I have dealt with, when material shrinkage is actually the case and a problem.  I was however, unable to confirm or deny this information today, and am looking to find the elongation rate for the material.  I have been unable to locate it in any of my references.  Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Elongation of material

The vendor must know the rate
of contraction.  Why not ask him?
