Autocad 14 Autolisp program for cam design

Autocad 14 Autolisp program for cam design

Autocad 14 Autolisp program for cam design

(OP)
Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get an Autolisp program that can design mechanical disc cams with oscillating roller followers ? I need it to work with AutoCAD 14.

Even somthing that just designs simple harmonic curves would work OK. A plug-in or add-on program would also be OK.

Thanks
John

Hi John2004 .

As I guess you should have the analytical way to calc the cam profile.
Is so, I can made such lisp routine.
I had been doing some work on such cams , but the math for it is out of my reach up to day.
If you want , please contact me at devitg@ciudad.com.ar

Hi Pardel,

Thanks for your reply,

Also, if you don't understand the math involved in cam design, I suppose we would have to work together on the Autolisp routine (i.e., I understand cams, and you apparently understand Autolisp programming).

The formulas that define cam curves are readily available in text books.

Thanks again,

John

Hi John .

I will do it as mutual assitance , for free of course.
I have text book and other references too , but what do you use on your work to do is the best source to do a LISP.
I do understand math procedures , I had done a gear involute profile by LISP .
I guess you had done yet a cam by simple drawing , if so please send me it , and a short description about it.
my e mail is
