bricks don't work

bricks don't work

bricks don't work

(OP)
hello, i have the following problem

when i declare my meshing elements in the preprocessor, i choose bricks, but when I mesh, the part is meshed with tetrahedrons. What did I make wrong?

RE: bricks don't work

The default mesh given in ANSYS (for 3D solid structures) is a FREE mesh, which will give you a completely tetrahedral mesh. Use MAPPED meshing (or sweep the mesh) to obtain hexahedral elements (and specify the correct element type of course) and a hexahedral mesh.

Cheers,
