(OP)
Looking for web reference on VFD efficiency when running on single phase input.  I know effects of harmonics are worse when using single phase input, but power factor is improved with most VFD's.

I need to know general efficiency loss estimates for cost analysis of bringing in three phase power vs. using existing single phase.  To run three phase to the building is relatively expensive, but over a twenty year life-cycle efficiency could be significant.  Any info is appreciated.

RE: Variable Frequency Drives

How much power are you looking at?
