Is there any way to upgrade a CPU Id locked license to feature version 25 so it will work with Wildfire 2.0 or do I have to "change" the licens to a "floating" server license??

RE: WF 2.0 License

Contact PTC or your VAR to have your license updated. It may need to be simplified as well. Go to http://www.ptc.com/olm/ls_faq/ for details on this.

Your locked license cannot be floated unless you call and speak with PTC about changing your license type. At that point you will need to get a FlexLM license server running.

A good thing about WF 2.0 is its ability to allow for license "borrowing". Which means that you can check out a license for a predefined amount of time. This is very useful if your company has a limited number of seats for specialized applications or floating modules (Pro/Mechanica, Piping, Cabling, etc), and you need to take a computer on-site.

I've already updated my license on the ptc web to feature version 25 (which sould work with WF 2.0).

All our new licenses are "floating" and they work but we still have some old "nodelocked" licenses. Seems like we have to uptade them to "floating" as well to be able to use WF 2.0.....
