Solidworks vs Inventor
Solidworks vs Inventor
(OP)
I am interested in hearing what program people prefer. The company i work for makes simple parts our of wood with radi and holes. we are researching the benefits of 3d pacakge to create assembles (under 15 parts) to reduce errors and lead times of custom products. currently we use autocad 2004, all of our drawings are 2d.

RE: Solidworks vs Inventor
Those three software are good, Personnaly I prefer SE. They all do the same basic parametric task just as you want.
Since you do simple assembly and simple parts, don't get caught in comparison between software where they emphasize on advanced features such as molding and surfacing.
The best thing is having a demonstration of both products and see for yourself which one you would like to use.
Good luck
