Reduced Motor Load

Reduced Motor Load

(OP)
I have in the past used a device that had SCR's to reduce the no load energy used by motors. The timing of the SCR could be varied so that the energy used by the motor could be reduced while in a no load state. This company does not seem to exist now or it has changed its name. I had a 30 hp chop saw the used 3000 watts while in free spin. I was able to recdue this to 1500 watts. Do you know of anything like this that is availabale now?

RE: Reduced Motor Load

try searching for "Nola" on the electric motors and controls forum
