Shape Factors

(OP)
Does anyone know where I can find a table of shape factors for various steel sections?

I am calculating the plastic section modulus Z for a built up section (tube + wide flange).

Any ideas?

RE: Shape Factors

There is a spreadsheet that can be downloaded that can calculate the section properties of any general shape section, which is what you need. There is also software that can do the same job or you can use a CAD package where you simply draw the section to be analysed.

If you have an FE software you can calculate by yourself.
