Linking Excel & AutoCad

Linking Excel & AutoCad

Linking Excel & AutoCad

(OP)
Hi, does anyone have good links or info on how to link Excel sheets into AutoCad drawings? Maybe a tutorial or even a program that tells me how to do this. We are having trouble at my office linking a FULL Excel sheet into AutoCad and also making sure that when we change the the info on the Excel sheet that the info changes as well on the AutoCad drawings. Any help would be great thanks!

RE: Linking Excel & AutoCad

No big deal!
if excel is already loaded, first open autocad, goto
format Pull Down Menu, select OLE Object, open excel, then you will be in the spreadsheet-- do your thing in it-- copy to clipboard; goback to autocad MS, paste from clipboard, adjust text height in the OLE object dialogue box and OK; the result should be visible in MS.

Check with this tool, as otherwise your excel spreadsheet will be cut off if it's too large.

Have a look at this site http://www.xanadu.cz
We trialed a number of programmes and the results were not great!!.
We ended up purchasing Excellink 2000, and its great.
Easy to manipulate and worth the money.
