How to enter spline by equation

How to enter spline by equation

How to enter spline by equation

(OP)
I need to draw a toroid. In the past I have done this by calculating points in excell then transferring them to ACAD as spline. Works well enough but a lot of data entry. Is it possible to enter the equation for the line of the toroid (or any other line for that matter)? How do you enter starting and end points etc.? Thanks

RE: How to enter spline by equation

Autocad does not accept equations without customization.  It would not be hard to customize it though - a little lisp here; a little lisp there.  Do you have the equation and the interval between points?

Thanks but I've learned how to enter "_spline" + all data points into command line. Pretty easy and now I'm done. Thanks for your offer. Ed
