I have the following motor along with the required 20uF motor run capacitor:

There are 3 wire leads coming out of the motor, they are just labled with the numbers 1, 2 & 3.

Can anyone tell me how to hook this up?

American standard motors have 4 leads T1, T4 for main winding and T5,T8 for auxiliary winding.
Your motor seems to be a permanent capacitor split motor. I assume that due to the name plate data “cos phi = 1”. The capacitor shown in the picture (5uF,370 VAC) does not have the capacity required by the motor name plate  “20 uF at 200 V.”

Check and report continuity between the leads and measure resistances , the idea is to identify the leads for the main and auxiliary windings (aux should have higher resistance). One lead could be common (already internally connected).

I agree with aolade that it is a permanent split capacitor motor. Some of these split capacitor motors have two identical windings, connected together. Locate the center tap using an ohmeter. Connect the capacitor to the two end wires. Connect 115 volt between one of the end wires and the center tap. Connecting to one end wire will cause motor to rotate in one direction and connecting to other end wire will cause it to rotate in the opposite direction.

If winding resistance are not equal, I am not sure how motor should be connected.

Use a large light bulb in series with the line or a variable transformer when first testing motor connection to avoid problems.

Also as noted previously, a 20uf or four 5uf capacitors should be used or motor may not start.

Further to carlpugh's reply, first locate the "common" lead, this has one end of aux wdg and one end of main.
The remaining two leads are the other ends of aux and main.
If measuring the two resistances between common and other leads produces two differing readings, then the lowest is the main winding.... connect capacitor across aux and main winding leads and supply common and main wdg.
