Dimensions of Jack & Bore Pits

Dimensions of Jack & Bore Pits

(OP)
Anybody know or willing to divulge the method for determining the dimensions of Jack & Bore pits?
I hear it has something to do with the length of each section of pipe being jacked as well as the diameter and depth of the pipe, but I don't know the specifics.

Inside your jacking pit you need to be able to fit the following:

A full pipe (pluss say 1/10 of the previous pipe to connect on to.
A thrust wall
Jacking rams
A portal and seal on the outgoing face.
Working room for personnel alongside the pipe

There is no real science to this.  It is simply a case of obtaining the pieces of kit and providiing a pit large enough to encompass it all.
