Plywood Tensile Strength

Plywood Tensile Strength

(OP)
Anyone have values for the tensile strength of plywood, or know where to find them?  I have the Canadian Plywood Association Plywood Design Fundamentals, and there are some values in N/mm, and when I convert to english units, I come up with some really weak plywood.

RE: Plywood Tensile Strength

Go to apawood.org, download "Plywood Design Specification", see Table 3

RE: Plywood Tensile Strength

Tension in the Plane of the plies Species Group 4,"Ft" varies from Dry Stress Grades S1=1300psi, S2=1100psi and S3=1100psi also. US Product Standard PS-1-83 is the testing basis. Good Luck.
