3-D Modeling Challenge
3-D Modeling Challenge
(OP)
I use Pro/E 2001 and I was thinking about how to model a part such as a soccer ball or golf ball or geodesic sphere (or any sphere consisting of identical interlinking facets).
It seems like such a part could be constructed fairly easily using patterns and a spherical coordinate system, but I haven't had any luck.
Is any one out there up to the challenge?

Soccer ball has been modeled here http://www.proecentral.com/portal/files/dirSub.asp?catid=5&subid=26&offset=180
I have also seen golf ball modeled on some web site.

It is on the SolidWorks forum, but there is info in it which you should be able to use.
