Pitting corrosion on material ASME / ASTM A-240 A1

Does anybody know if the material ASME / ASTM A-210 A1 is susceptible to pitting corrosion when submitted to salty environment?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Pitting corrosion on material ASME / ASTM A-240 A1

ASME SA 210 A1 is carbon steel tubing. I am not sure what you mean by a "salty" environment. If you are referring to sea water or a marine coast type of environment, the carbon steel will develop corrosion pits on the surface exposed to the environment.
