Small Heat Exchanger Cores

Small Heat Exchanger Cores

(OP)
With the multitude of forums this could be placed in, I decided to place it here to hopefully get some ideas.

I'm looking for small (compact) heat exchangers. Tube and fin or similar design.

They do not require end tanks, and thus modular sections are workable.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Small Heat Exchanger Cores

As a general rule, a plate-and-frame heat exchanger provides the smallest size per unit of heat transfered.

I am looking for manufacturers mainly.

In my application, coolant will be passed through the "tubes" and air across the fins.

The air side must have as low of pressure drop as possible.

Single pass (in one side, out the other) is what I am hoping to find.

RE: Small Heat Exchanger Cores

Okay, this is right up my street.

We build Fin & Tube Heat exchangers with very low pressure drop on the Air / Fin side. Name your materials!

RE: Small Heat Exchanger Cores

b0yw0nder,
Try the names: Modine, Heatcraft, Thermasys, Alpine, Super Radiator (phx.srcoils.com).
We have talked to or worked with all of these at one time or another.
