a  moving laser beam heats a surface (2D heat conduction problem).can some one tell me how to simulate this using fluent cfd.(to obtain the T(x,y,t)  )

RE: moving heat source using FLUENT

I'm not sure why FLUENT comes into this. For a moving heat source you have a quasi steady state heat transfer problem. Replace the transient part of the PDE ie. dT/dt by v.dT/dx where v = dx/dt and you have a steady state PDE involving T as a function of (x,y) without the time variable, t. You might need to code this yourself.
