Anyone know what the pre-defined measure "total_cost" is? Also is it possible to create a user-defined measure that is a function of two pre-defined measures, such as "max_stress_vm/total_mass"?

Thanks!

RE: Optimization in Mechanica

Total cost is just related to mass
With mechanica standalone only predefined variables are available. Thru Behavorial modelling you may create computed measures

Thanks for the info. I contacted ProE support and they said computed measures in Structure are only available in Wildfire 2.0, not 2001. Is there a workaround through behavioural modeling?

RE: Optimization in Mechanica

ParabolicTet,

There is no direct linkage between BMX and Mechanica in Pro/ENGIEER 2001. Sorry.

This is one more reason to upgrade to Wildfire 2.0.
