Importing Data from an Microsoft Access Database

Importing Data from an Microsoft Access Database

(OP)
I am doing a network diagram and getting very sick of tabbing back and forth between the visio diagram and my access DB with all the records. Is there any way to extract all the data into a visio diagram and have all the values show up in the properties?

RE: Importing Data from an Microsoft Access Database

There may be, but if there is, it will be slow and error prone.
Visio is no good for this kind of thing, it has been pushed, on the basis of a fundamentally poor data design, into regions that it was never intended for. It is a great tool for making pretty sketches. Not for making smart, data linked, intelligent, diagrams.
Just my penny worth.
