Massprop

Massprop

(OP)
Hi
I was using trying to find the mass of a solid using Autocad  2002 .After selecting the solid I ran the command
and got a value .Should I then have used the density of the material which in this case was steel 7.86 to find the mass?
Thanks
Yvonne

RE: Massprop

Yvonne-
The value massprop returns is the volume of the part. Apply your material density by multiplying the matl density by the volume to get the mass.

Nobody I've ever talked to knows why autodesk didn't attach a method to apply density to get the value they put in the mass column.

Oh well.

Tks-
C. Fee
