filter nozzle design information selection

(OP)
Can anyone point me in the direction of design books fundementals in selection / sizing of gravity filter nozzles or roses for different water filtration backwashing options (eg water only , air then water or concurrent air & water). The literature seems to be proprietary with nozzle supplier information limited to graphs of head loss for different flows, for diffferent nozzles

Looking for info such as how long the tail pipe and air slots , vent holes etc on a nozzle should be, design limitations of nozzles with air expansion/ damage with shock of air compression on high rate water if air present etc .

Thanks
